The right candidate will have previous experience in machine operating (preferably in the food and beverage industry, not required), and have a stable work history with previous employers. Must be able to train on 1st or 2nd shift (or pre-determined schedule) and be accountable to the Company’s need for overtime & weekend work as required.
Work Schedule:
Training Hours:
1st Shift (6:00am-2:30pm, Monday-Friday); OT and weekends mandatory, based on production schedule
OR
2nd Shift (2:00pm-10:30pm, Monday-Friday); OT and weekends mandatory, based on production schedule
Standard Hours:
3rd Shift (10:00pm-6:30am, Monday-Friday); OT and weekends as needed
Job Summary: Working as part of the Beverage Operations team, the Canning Line Operator will operate the high-speed canning/beverage production line equipment to create, produce, and package products according to client requirements.
What You’ll Do:
- Set-up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain all high-speed canning line equipment, including packaging, filler, seamer, and shrink wrapper to ensure quality and efficiency of product output
- Notify the maintenance team of mechanical issues that cannot be repaired by the operator
- Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMPs, and maintain sanitary conditions to ensure equipment and product quality is maintained at all times
- Provide support as needed by working overtime to help operations and other shifts in staffing shortages
- Perform all other duties as assigned by leadership
What We’re Looking For:
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 2+ years of previous machine operating experience
- Must be able to proficiently read, write, and communicate in English
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed to support business operations
- Must be reliable & punctual, have a strong sense or urgency, and work effectively as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a bottling and canning facility or food/beverage manufacturing environment with understanding of food safety/quality programs such as GMPs
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently required to stand; walk; talk or hear; reach above shoulders; use hands to finger, handle, grasp, pinch or touch objects, controls, tools or equipment; kneel, crouch and use foot/feet to operate machinery; bend at the waist; climb or balance
- Frequently required to lift, carry, move, push or pull materials, product or equipment up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, up to ten (10) or more hours in a single shift
- This position requires reliability & punctuality, strong sense of urgency, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team*
Compensation Package:
- $20.00+ per hour (+ $2.00 3rd Shift Premium)
- Double Pay for ANY Weekend Overtime Hours AND All Hours >50 Per Week!
